From the early stages of planning their day, we knew it was important to Karina to have her venue be an apple orchard, as it would be a great way to honor her late father, who used to take her and her siblings apple picking, and ensure he was somehow a part of this day. A quick phone call to Quonquont Farm in Whately, MA and the stage was set for what was most certainly a most special day, and as Karina walked down the orchard hill to the alter, the sun fell on her shoulders, a true sign that her father was there.
As guests arrived to the apple orchard for Karina and Dana’s ceremony, they were greeted by our smiling, courteous team offering glass Irish coffee mugs filled with fresh, hot apple cider. Whiskey barrels provided by General Eclectic in Ct were topped with gorgeous, bright florals to mark the aisle and also served as cocktail tables for social hour. White lights were strung over the dance floor and an ivory high back love seat was the perfect addition to Karina and Dana’s sweetheart table.
For their wedding celebration dinner, Chef Daigneau brought a first course of Fall flair by way of Roasted Corn Chowder with a Cilantro Lime Edible Spoon. The Autumn Quinoa Chop Salad with Fresh Greens, Pecans, Apples, Caramelized Onions, Red Grapes, Quinoa, Blue Cheese and Apple Dijon Dressing was the perfect follow up.
Next, beautifully styled plates with Spinach, Cranberry and Wild Rice Stuffed Chicken, Low and Slow Braised Beef Short Rib with a Red Wine Glaze and Ritz Cracker Crumb Crusted Lemon Haddock were placed in front of guests for their enjoyment. To top off the day, our “Sweet on You” dessert station was filled with gourmet caramel apples, Fall flavored mini cupcakes and delicious bites and bars.
The day was simply perfect – and delicious!
